June-july 2018:

Starting an Ensemble

This summer, my colleague Jane Reagan and I have spent our days building workshops and short performances for graduate literature students in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Under the direction of Jonathan Fried, we have initiated what we hope will be the first of many acting ensembles at the Southwest location of Middlebury College's Bread Loaf School of English. During this six-week program, the three of us utilize our actor training to assist students in interpreting poetry, literature, plays, and even their own creative writing from fresh, personal perspectives.
